Thank you for contributing to 6th African Regional Conference on Irrigation and Drainage (ARCID), Abuja-Nigeria, 2025. For PowerPoint presentations during the conference, carefully follow the guidelines below.
PowerPoint Slides Limit and Template
a. Each presentation must not exceed 15 slides (including the title and conclusion slides).
b. All authors must use the official conference PowerPoint template. Use the button below to download the template.
c. Do not modify the template structure, fonts, or colors—ensure consistency across all presentations.
PowerPoint Slides Content Guidelines
a. Title Slide: Include your presentation title, author(s), affiliation(s), and contact information.
b. Introduction Slide(s): Clearly state the background, objectives, and significance of your research.
c. Methods Slide(s): Provide a concise explanation of your methodology.
d. Results Slide(s): Present key findings with graphs, tables, and figures where necessary.
e. Discussion Slide(s): Explain the implications of your results and their relevance.
f. Conclusion Slide: Summarize key points and suggest future directions.
g. Acknowledgments and References (if applicable): Keep references brief, using a smaller font if needed.
PowerPoint Slides Design and Formatting.
a. Use a readable font size(minimum 24 pt for body text, 36 pt for headings).
b. Keep text concise—use bullet points rather than long paragraphs.
c. Use high-quality images and graphs—avoid excessive animations and transitions.
d. Maintain the color scheme provided in the template and ensure contrast for readability.
e. Avoid overloading slides with information—one key message per slide.
PowerPoint Presentation Timing and Delivery
a. Each speaker is allotted 15 minutes (including Q&A).
b. Aim to speak for 10 minutes, leaving 5 minutes for audience questions.
c. Practice your presentation to ensure you stay within the time limit.
d. Use a clear and engaging speaking style—avoid reading directly from the slides.
PowerPoint Submission and Technical Requirements
a. Presenters should submit their PowerPoint to the Technical Committee by 15th March 2025 to
full-paper@6arc2025.org.ng and copy igbadun20@yahoo.com.
b. Bring a backup copy on a USB drive in case of technical issues.
c. Ensure your presentation is compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint and does not rely on internet-based content.
d. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your session to test the slides with the conference technical team.

African Regional Working Group (AFRWG) was established in 2000 with the objective of promoting strong communications and networking among African countries as well as regional and international institutions for enhancing cooperation and coordination.
